St. Joseph's Foundation is a voluntary organisation providing
comprehensive services for people with Intellectual Disabilities. The
Foundation presently provides Adult Rehabilitative (RT) Programmes,
Adult Day Services, Residential, Respite Care, Elder Care and Home
Support in the North Cork and South West Limerick region. We have Day
Service Locations in Charleville, Mitchelstown, Liskennett,
Kilmallock, Newmarket, Dromcollogher, Bruff and Mallow. We have
Residential settings in both Co. Cork & Co. Limerick. APPLICATIONS ARE
INVITED FOR THE FOLLOWING PERMANENT POST:
SENIOR GRADE SUPERVISOR

The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for the
development & delivery of individual plans for Service Users
participating in both Rehabilitative Training and Day Service
Programmes. He/she will have responsibility for the supervision of
Service Users & their integration into the community in line with the
New Directions Programme for Adult Day Services. He/she will also have
responsibility for the supervision of staff.
THE CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
* A relevant qualification at QQI Level 5 or equivalent is essential
* A QQI Accredited Diploma/Degree in Applied Social Studies/Social
Care OR a qualification in Nursing (RNID) or Social Work (Degree) or a
Degree in Training and Education is desirable
* Train the Trainer Qualification, or its equivalent is preferable
* The ability to work on his/her own initiative and supervise
service users/staff in a Day Service/Rehabilitative Training Programme
setting.
* A minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in the
Intellectual Disability sector is essential.
* Knowledge/understanding of the New Directions Programme for Adult
day Services
